There will be a celebration of Bob’s life at the Swarthmore Presbyterian Church, 727 Harvard Avenue, Swarthmore PA 19081 on Saturday, January 27, at 11 a.m.

On December 29, 1945, she married Raymond Frank Winch, with whom she enjoyed 67 wonderful years of marriage. Jean and Ray lived in Swarthmore, Boston, Mass., Jacksonville, Fla., Newtown Square, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Bozman, Md., and Stuart, Fla., before retiring to Kennett Square.

Jean is survived by her children, Margaret “Peggy” Baird of Willow Grove, Nancy Elizabeth “Betsy” Murtha of Geigertown, Pa., Raymond F. She was active with the League of Women Voters, Children’s Home Foundation, ECW Chairwomen, Christmas in St. She loved traveling, sailing with Ray, playing the piano, tennis, reading, art and keeping up with her family.

Jan was the beloved salesperson at Vollmecke Farm and Orchards for many years.

Jan is survived by her five children, John (and Christie) Vollmecke, Teresa Vollmecke, Robert (and Estelle) Vollmecke, Karl Vollmecke, and Karen Vollmecke; her cousin, Buddy Parker; her niece, Pam Moreland Lucas; and her nephews, Michael Moreland, Erik Vollmecke and Kirk Vollmecke.

A memorial service will be held this July at All Saints by the Sea, Southport, Maine, followed by a celebration of a life well lived!

Jeannette Harris Vollmecke of West Brandywine Township, Pa., passed away peacefully at home December 27, 2017. “Jan” was born June 16, 1929, to Thelma Mae Johnson and Lee Ottis Harris in Birmingham, Ala.
